Book Title: “THE PROBLEM OF EVIL IN LEIBNIZ”
I have always wondered what culture is, how it expresses itself and and how it can achieve its established and sustainable goals and I have always thought that it is, first of all, a generic term aiming at embracing, with love, all human knowledge. Everything is culture and everything generates culture.
Culture is the personal and individual enrichment which can be achieved and improved through knowledge. Knowledge as well as deep observation of the surrounding reality seizing ,mainly, the positive sides but also the negative ones, because they too are part of our knowledge and, by developing them, they are used to improve future society to avoid falling into the same mistakes of the past.
So knowledge is the result of experiences that accompany us daily in the path of life and lead us on paths often unexplored but which are always full of charm.
Leibniz in his philosophy has favoured the individual as a whole consistent and powerful, dreaming of giving dignity and expressiveness to the Man: with his thoughts, with his anxieties, with his questions, trying to give credible answers to all his variegated cognitive system.
Centuries later, the idea of outlining a contemporary profile of the German philosopher, is a cultural operation of undoubted depth and appealing novelty.
Giuseppe Piluso in his second work published The problem of evil in Leibniz, 2016 New Santelli Editions, brings to mind the philosophical thought of Leibniz updating it and making it more enjoyable to intellectually lively readers. It is not a book for everyone but it is directed to well-educated readers who like to “go into the matter”.
While reflecting principally and primarily on the religious aspect, it seems to me an excellent informative volume to bring the reader to issues that are still heritage of all humanity.
The book is thoroughly written, with a detailed lexicon, explanatory in its less immediate forms.
Undoubtedly a good book that I recommend to keep on your bedside table to ask yourself, daily, the right questions for your tomorrow. That I hope will be radiant for everyone
